Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of EterniHost VPS hosting services. By ordering, accessing, or using any EterniHost service, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your service without refund.

We strive to keep our networks operating at the highest possible level so that all clients benefit from fast, stable, and secure infrastructure. The following actions are strictly prohibited.

1. Illegal Activities

  • Engaging in, promoting, or facilitating any unlawful activity (fraud, trafficking, unauthorized access to systems, etc.)
  • Hosting or distributing material that violates any applicable law or regulation
  • Hosting or distributing child sexual abuse material or any content exploiting minors (instant termination + report to authorities)

2. Harmful or Abusive Activities

  • Distributing malware, viruses, ransomware, botnet controllers, or any malicious code
  • Launching or participating in denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks
  • Network scanning or probing of foreign networks, IP ranges, or ports you do not own or have explicit permission to test
  • Using fake, forged, or spoofed source IP addresses
  • Manually changing or spoofing the MAC address of your VPS
  • Operating cryptocurrency mining software or services
  • Running open proxies, open relays, Tor exit nodes, or any service designed to anonymize abusive traffic
  • Brute-force, password-cracking, or exploitation attempts against third-party systems

3. Intellectual Property Infringement

  • Hosting or distributing copyrighted material without proper authorization
  • Violating trademarks, patents, trade secrets, or any other intellectual property rights

4. Unsolicited Communications (Spam)

  • Sending bulk unsolicited email or messages
  • Operating mail servers that end up on public blocklists because of your actions

5. Resource & Network Abuse

  • Excessive or sustained consumption of CPU, RAM, disk I/O, or network bandwidth that degrades performance for other customers
  • Using the VPS primarily as offline data storage or backup service unrelated to active processes
  • Any activity that triggers legitimate abuse complaints from upstream providers or other networks

6. Content Restrictions

You must not host content that:

  • Promotes or contains hate speech, violence, discrimination, or harassment
  • Is obscene, defamatory, libelous, or invades privacy
  • Violates laws regarding child exploitation or illegal pornography

7. Security Responsibility

You are fully responsible for the security of your VPS, including:

  • Using strong passwords and keeping them updated
  • Applying operating-system and software patches promptly
  • Preventing unauthorized access to your VPS

8. Enforcement

We may, without prior notice:

  • Issue warnings
  • Throttle, suspend, or terminate services
  • Remove offending content or processes
  • Permanently ban accounts for repeated or severe violations
  • Cooperate with law enforcement when required

No refunds will be provided for services suspended or terminated due to AUP violations.

9. Reporting Violations

To report abuse or violations of this AUP, open an abuse report ticket with as much detail as possible.

10. Changes to this AUP

We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
